PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Prospective Students for Autumn Quarter 2012

All Ohio State University applicants are encouraged to apply to Architecture Scholars using the combined Honors & Scholars (H&S) Application.  The H&S Application will be available online on October 1, 2011 at hsapp.osu.edu. The priority submission date is December 15, 2011 and final submission due date is February 15, 2012.

Students may complete the H&S Application even before learning their Ohio State admissions decision. After submitting a university admissions application, applicants will receive an OSU ID number, which will then allow access to the H&S Application. Review of the H&S Application, however, is contingent upon being admitted to the university.

Students who complete the H&S Application by December 15 will learn their Scholars admission decision in late January 2012; students who complete the H&S Application after December 15 will be notified of their Scholars decision by mid-March 2012.
All interested students are welcome to submit an application for the Architecture Scholars program. Typically, students have a 27+ ACT or 1220+ SAT (critical reading and math), strong academic record, sustained extra-curricular experiences, demonstrated leadershipt, etc. The H&S Application gauges students' fit and examines how the Architecture Schoalrs program would benefit students' academic and professional goals.

For the Architecture Scholars program specifically, the student's ability to express interest in the specific program itself and it's activities often outweigh academic criteria (specific test scores, class rank, etc). Students should be prepared to share information that reflects their interest in architecture, landscape architecture, city and regional planning and/or the built environment.
