Summer Contact Information

Angi Beer will be on maternity leave this summer from early June through late August.

During this time, both current and incoming Architecture Scholars students should contact Katie Sims for assistance with advising, orientation or other general questions.

Katie can be reached at sims.185@osu.edu or 614-292-1012.

Incoming students will meet Katie at their orientation program. Katie is an Architecture Scholars alumnus who received her BS in Architecture in June 2008. She will be a great resouce for you!

No Impact Man

The 2010 Buckeye Book Community selection is No Impact Man by Colin Beavan. All incoming Architecture Scholars will be provided with a free copy of the book at orientation.

Portfolio Help from the Leadership Team

Message from Arch Scholars Leadership Team (emailed 5.19.10):

We just wanted to pass along some information regarding portfolio help for those of you that missed the session two weeks ago. If you have any questions you can email any of us or come find us in the studio/labs. Every Sunday from 3-5 we will be in the 430 lab to answer any questions or be helpful in any way we can (for example Illustrator or InDesign). This is a great opportunity so please take advantage of it!

Check your email for an attachment sent in the original message.

7th Friday Deadline

Just a friendly reminder that Friday, May 14, 2010 is the drop deadline. If you need to drop a course, you must stop by the KSA Student Servieces office by 4pm and fill out a drop form. Any drop request after 4pm will not be processed. You will receive a ‘W’ for dropping a course. A ‘W’ will not affect your GPA.

Walk-in Hours at Baker - TODAY (May 12)

First-year students...most of you register for AU10 today. Need help scheduling? Stop by the Baker West lobby from 3:30-4:30pm for advising. (Please bring your degree audit or advising report, since I don't have a computer to look up your record.)

Remember, you are not able to schedule your required architecture or landscape architecture classes for the fall. You should, however, choose at least one GEC that fits around the times of the required classes.

I hope to see you Wednesday or via an advising appointment. Remember, it is your responsibility as a student to schedule an appointment or come to walk-in hours for assistance. I'm here to help you!

Peddle with SCASLA

If you're not traveling to Boston this weekend, join up with SCASLA (Student Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects) for a bike tour of Columbus.
